Being in the deep south, we have gotten alot of requests for deer (or venison) jerky – and we have listened. We tasted 14 different manufacturers, and Mountain America Jerky was hands down the best deer jerky we tasted. We offer only the best products for your customers!

We have had many calls asking if Yummy Jerky is a butcher shop in the Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, Navarre and Santa Rosa Beach area. Unfortunately the answer to that question is no. We only provide the finest Jerky Hut products to the Northwest Florida are and to the world here at our online store and blog. We can, however, provide you with a couple of places that we would recommend using as your local butcher.

The Winn Dixie in Niceville will take your special request and normally can have your order to you within two days or sooner. The Publix in Destin has also been extremely helpful to any custom orders. All of us here at Yummy Jerky hope that one of these fine establishments can help you in your butchering needs.

The Jerky Hut at BamaJam Music Festival 2011?

Many of our customers here at Yummy Jerky have given us a call to ask if we are going to be at this years BamaJam music festival in Enterprise, Alabama. It was scheduled to take place June 2 to June 4, 2011 at the same peanut field where hundreds of thousands of people have enjoyed BamaJam before.

At this time, we will have to answer that question with a no, we will not be at BamaJam. Why you ask, well to be honest, BamaJam will probably not be taking place this year. It’s founder, Ronnie Gilley, has been in some financial and legal trouble over his Country Crossings bingo hall in Dothan, Alabama. While we here at Yummy Jerky – The Jerky Hut stand firmly behind Ronnie Gilley, and reiterate that he is innocent until proven guilty, the judicial process has been hard on Mr. Gilley and only wish him the best and that he comes out of this a better person.

BamaJam Music Festival

The Jerky Hut and BamaJam Music Festival in 2011?

BamaJam was started in 2008 as a replacement for the June Jam in Fort Payne, Alabama, due to the founding band’s retirement (Alabama). All three years saw attendance in excess of 200,000 people for the three day music festival, which has featured Kid Rock, Hank Williams, Jr., Lynyrd Skynrd, Taylor Swift, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Zac Brown Band and dozens more of the top bands in the nation. It has been held in Enterprise, Alabama at an old farm on over 300 acres and featured hundreds of vendors, camping and of course music.

We are saddened by the cancellation of this years BamaJam Music Festival, and when it comes back, you can be positive that The Jerky Hut – YummyJerky.com will be there selling our premium beef jerky, turkey jerky, beef sticks and beef sausage to the wonderful crowds!
